It’s been awhile since I have written, so I thought I would:) July seems to be moving very fast this year and I don’t seem to be keeping up! I haven’t been doing much sewing lately and miss it a little. I have been spending all of my extra time knitting and trying to learn new things about quilting. I also decided that I needed to read a book, since I haven’t yet this summer. I read about 20 last winter and when it got warm outside I quit. I read The Hearing by John Lescroart. It was okay, but not really what I wanted to be working on, so not that enjoyable.
My knitting is going well. I don’t know if I will ever be able to do anything fancy or difficult, but right now I am working on a baby blanket for Kody’s nephew & fiancee’s baby boy. It is turning out beautiful and I plan to start on one for our baby girl as soon as it’s done. I need to knit faster though, because these babies are going to be here really soon!
I also have been thinking about trying to make some handmade barbie items. It seems that barbies and accessories are very popular on eBay and maybe I could get some okay money that way. I have thought about making blankets, quilts, Barbie purses and maybe even trying to make a few clothes. So far it is just a thought though…We’ll see. Let me know what you think about those ideas.
I am tired a lot now, so I don’t feel like working on much and spend a lot of time just laying down. Unfortunately, I still have 2 more months of being really tired – and then the real fun begins!! Our little girl is due October 4, but since I am scheduling a c-section, I plan to make it for September 30 (unless the doctors don’t like that day). We are all hoping that she comes a little early though. For anyone who is interested we are registered at 2 places: Target & Babies R’ Us. Some of the things are purely wishlist and some we do need. We didn’t register for things like diapers and wipes and shampoo and soap, but can always use little things like that!
Well, I don’t think I have anything else to write this morning, so I had better go knit! I hope everyone has a great week:)
