I have found a couple of great books at the library that I wanted to share with anyone who is interested. I would like to get both of them.
The first is a little older and has just baby projects. It is called Knitting for Baby and is by Melanie Falick and Kristin Nicholas. It has a lot of projects that are beautiful and appear to be easy. The instructions are great too!
The second book is one that I have checked out right now, titled Great Knitted Gifts by Andrea and Gayle Shackleton. It is a new book for 2005 and has projects that are only done in handspun wool. I am trying out one of the hats (although I don’t have any wool yet) and so far it has been very easy and looks very pretty. I have two different sets (hat, glove & purse) that I want to try next. I like most of the things in this book and would just love to buy it right now! A lot of the items are striped or have dots or flowers, and it has a lot of ribbing work and everything is so beautiful. I hope to be able to buy it sometime in the near future. It has things for adults and kids. The hat I am making now is for a little girl and the pattern calls for stripes, but to make it easier (and since I am not using the right yarn anyway) I am doing it in a solid color. The patterns aren’t small enough for babies, but I’m sure they could be adjusted. Anyway, I just can’t get over how nice this book is. I’ve had it for 3 days and I have looked at everything in it about 50 times ;)
I hope everyone is well! Until next time…
