I haven’t written in the Family Journal lately, and today it definitely needs an update! I went to the doctor this morning for one of my many check-ups and also scheduled my c-section. Our baby girl (still nameless) will be born on September 28, 2005. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 that morning and after all the prepping and bloodwork they will do the c-section. I am still hoping that I have her a little earlier in the month, but if not she will be here that day!
We are definitely ready for her to be here. Sunday evening we finally rearranged our bedroom. This was not a fun task, since it was already pretty cramped, but we got the crib set up and it doesn’t look too bad crammed in here. The poor file cabinet got stuck in the bathroom though, since there wasn’t any room!
I also got a little bad news at the doctor… Apparently my iron is very low and that is the reason for my exhaustion. So somehow between August 3rd and today it dropped a lot. Anyway, they got me an iron supplement and also took some blood for an anemia panel, which hopefully won’t show anything worse. They are going to retest me in a couple of weeks (at my next appointment) to make sure that the supplement is doing it’s job.
Yesterday we finally got Kristopher his bicycle that he wanted for being such a big boy. We had promised that he could have one after he was using the potty all the time and it has been a couple of weeks now since he started doing great! We let him pick out his own and the helmet that he wanted. He was so excited :) Unfortunately when we got home it was pouring rain, so he had to ride it in the house, which was very interesting. We took some cute pictures though and as soon as I can figure out what is wrong with the camera cable I’ll put one on here. This evening if it isn’t raining I will try to take him outside so he can try it out.
I am still knitting and sewing away. Right now I am doing more knitting than sewing. I am hoping to get some fabric to make a crib bumper out of and would like to make a canvas diaper bag, but first I will have to find some fabric I like for both things. I found a book that I love with wool knitting projects (there is a link to it on my website). Kody has actually ordered it for me for our anniversary. It is hard to believe that we will have been married for 4 years tomorrow! Hopefully we will get to go out to dinner at Kody’s favorite restaurant – Hanonoki. It is a Japanese Steakhouse where the chefs cook right in front of you and it is a lot of fun to go to.
I think that is all I have for today. I will try to keep up with writing on here, so you all know what’s going on :) I hope as always that everyone is doing wonderful!
