I finished the first Uptown Boot sock from Favorite Socks. Once again, the yarn is from the April Club shipment of the Blue Moon Fiber Arts Rockin’ Sock Club. It is new Silkie Socks that Rock in the Walking on the Wild Tide colorway. I love the yarn and the pattern that I chose. And yes, my foot is really that small! The sock even looks tiny to me, but it fits perfectly and I can’t wait to get started on the second one. I have also been doing a lot of sewing this weekend, but haven’t really finished anything yet so I am not going to show pictures. One of the things is a surprise bag for Kristopher’s teacher. I think it is turning out really cute and I have put in some things that I hope will make her smile! His last day of school is Thursday and the big program is Thursday night. I don’t know whether to give it to her in the morning before school, in the afternoon when I pick him up, or at the program that night…Thoughts? I’ve also been working on more of the dolly things for Taylor’s birthday, but haven’t accomplished much other than cutting things out.
I am hoping to remember my camera tomorrow as I go about my day, so that I can participate in Get Real Monday! I think it looks like a really fun thing this week, but have forgotten my camera the last 2 days. It would be fun to take pictures of a Sunday though:)
Hope everyone is having a fun weekend! We are getting ready to grill and relax. Kristopher had a great soccer game this morning and the rain tried to hit us right at the end, but missed! I was so proud of Kristopher, he actually got in the mess of people today to get the ball. He didn’t score a goal, but that isn’t the important part. I was just happy to see him trying so hard and actually getting to kick the ball some:) (he did score a goal last week, so he was kind of upset about it today)
