How Awesome is the Lord Most High

This is not the post I was intending to write today, but this song was just really speaking to me this morning as I drove home from dropping Taylor off. Here are the lyrics to Chris Tomlin’s song ‘How Awesome is the Lord Most High’

Great are You, Lord
Mighty in strength
You are faithful
You will ever be

We will praise You
All of our days
It’s for Your glory
We offer everything

Raise your hands, all you nations
Shout to God all creation
How awesome is the Lord most high

Where You send us
God, we will go
You’re the answer
We want the world to know

We will trust You
When You call our name
Where You lead us
We’ll follow all the way

We will praise You together
For now and forever
How awesome is the Lord most high

Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
How awesome is the Lord most high

I just feel something when I listen to his See the Morning album. Every song on there is beautifully sung for our Lord God. If you get a chance listen to Uncreated One as well. Very good stuff!

As I was listening this morning I started thinking about the message that Bro. Glynn preached last Sunday morning on stewardship. Number 3 of his 5 principles :) is “Life and all good things related to it are gifts from God.” We need to listen to God and be obedient in order to receive these blessings (or at the very least recognize them.) As the song above says “Where you send us, God, we will go”. Are you listening and going? Are you obedient to Him? Are you receiving the blessings that He pours out for you? and Are you being good stewards of the things he has blessed you with?

I know that I don’t always do all of the above, but I want to. I long to be obedient to Him and when I fall short I only want to get back up and try harder to live my life for the One who died for me.

Here are 3 scriptures that he gave us on Sunday as well. Please read them, they are so good!

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? -Romans 8:32

24The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, 25nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. 26And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, 28for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’ -Acts 17:24-28

And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. -Phillipians 4:19

-Lord, I will praise you now and forever, for you are Awesome, Lord Most High!-
