Yarn Along

I’m hurrying to finish these birthday socks for my mom. Her birthday was last Thursday, but I thought it would be nice to take them when we see her. I made her a similar pair a few years ago for Christmas, and they are quick to knit since they are made with heavier weight yarn. I made the others using a nice red, but these are stiped with what I had here. The other sock is finished and I am just turning the heel on this one now. Not much longer! The pattern is Log Cabin Socks from the book Handknit Holidays. Here are the red ones I knit her before.

I am reading Unglued by Lysa TerKeurst. So far I am failing at implementing any of her ideas and wisdom into my life, but it is a good read. I am hoping to learn to react better to things and people in my life. Having a lot of trouble with the way I react to my children right now. If you get a chance you should pick this book up and read it, especially if you know your reactions are not always the best. Might help!

I’m linking up with Ginny at Small Things today. Enjoy your day!
